Chicago VPS? yes or no?
$9.95 for a Windows VPS hosting sounds too good to be true

>2 GB RAM
>1.5 TB transfer
>Windows Server 2016
I currently have a $10 Linode VPS, and I am considering to switch from Linux to Windows.
Bro I have a fucking €1 VPS
>20GB SSD
>1GB RAM
>2TB Transfer
>Ubuntu 16.04

is it aruba?
was in need of a new vps to proxy with and that seems to be as cheap as that.
>>61718235
Yeah but I'm looking for a Windows VPS

>aruba
>hosted in europe
personally, I would never get a VPS that is on another continent
but that's just me
>>61718292
honestly don't give a fug, have my personal site on another vps in my country, but don't care if this proxy is in Antarctica, that would be cool actually.

Yeah Aruba, I don't do illegal nor important stuff, just a couple of bots for info gathering and docker containers.
OP here
I'm still in doubt on getting "Chicago VPS" since most of the reviews say that they suck.
But at least it isn't 1&1 hosting, they literally rip you off by charging you stuff you didn't even asked for. They are truly scammers, and should be avoided as possible.
Also, solvps seems fine. It has better reviews.
https://www.solvps.com/windows-vps/
But for $13.03 a month I get:
>1 CPU core
ChicagoVPS gives you 4 CPU cores
>1 GB RAM
ChicagoVPS gives you 2 GB RAM
>20 GB SSD
ChicagoVPS gives you 80 GB SSD
>Unlimited Bandwith+
ChicagoVPS gives you 1.5 TB transfer
I really don't mind paying extra bucks. But what I worry about is if ChicagoVPS is actually a Scam like 1and1 or not.

What are you going to do that strictly needs a Windows VPS?
>>61718517
I still don't know
Is just a "nice to have" for me. I like to mess around doing stuff on C# .NET
Op here again

I think I should probably ignore those reviews and try it for a month and see how it goes.
I like the way they explain WHY ChicagoVPS could sometimes be a piece of shit. It wasn't them to blame entirely, it was because of some other abusive users.
I think it could be useful for "testing purposes only". And my real implementations should be Java/Linux based on Linode boxes.

What they give you is completely irrelevant. Any cheap VPS hosting will be on a host which is grossly overprovisioned. Yeah you might have access to this amount of resources, but it doesnt mean you'll ever be able to utilize them all the time. As with everything you get what you pay for.
