Update 9/29: Our favorite infosec expert (whom we’ve cited before on a few matters) SwiftOnSecurity, let us know today that Ungoogled Chromium is a student project and doesn’t have the ability to update itself (and likely hasn’t been updated.) In that regard, we can’t recommend it. She recommends Brave if you’d like an alternative.

Do any of these have h.264 support like chrome? If not, they're pretty useless for anyone who watches YouTube.

All alternatives to Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are unusable. I tried Brave (re-branded Chromium), just for a one-time experience, and was not disappointed because I expected it to function on a mediocre level. It did just that. In fact, it ceased to work at all as I progressed. I'm glad I stay with Windows 10 instead of wasting my time trying so called "alternatives". It's become a mental disease resembling an obsessive compulsion. Stay with software you know will perform when you need it to save you from wasting your time and compromising your productivity.

What, I said eww because I disagree with what that anon said, I often find forks are better (not including PM) then the primary versions themselves, I use 2 browsers, Waterfox and Nik's Chromium and very satisfied personally.

Correct. Flash is comfy.
>>

Flash is a security risk though and I don't have it installed for that reason I just can't trust it not to rape my ass, the only people I know that dislike webm are iOS anons because I often see them requesting anons to convert a said webm to flash and re-post "please" on /s/.

Installed Brave yesterday to see how it is. One thing I would miss moving from Firefox to Iridium would be Firefox sync but Brave's sync seems to be even better when considering privacy. Is there any reason for not using Brave?

If you must use a chrome clone, at least use Brave. Vivaldi is literal pleb tier.

Have you tried the newest Firefox Nightly x64 atleast?
>>
The next version of Safari will use machine learning to block trackers. It also has the most efficient ad-blocking API of any browser. Even though it's not open source outside of Webkit, I think it's a good choice if you care about privacy.
>>
>>61709306
I just downloaded it and am gonna try it out when I get home from work. In just loading a few test sites it seems as fast or slightly slower than chrome so I'm not super hopeful.
>>
>>61709318
Thanks Apple™, I'll be sure to download it right away!
>>
>>61709321
Make sure multi-process is enabled. Also hope your work has fast internet.
>>
>>61709280
>Why is a reskinned botnet bad though?
Brave integrates https everywhere and an ad blocker. It at least tries to offer some privacy.
>>
>>61708239
>use Brave if you’d like an alternative to Chrome
But can "Brave" (seriously, this is the stupidest name for a browser) have them scripts, NoScript and uBlock Origin?
>>
>>61709396
ublock is built in, noscript is something they're still working on. It lets you block all scripts, but not pick and choose (yet).
>>
>>61709469
>ublock is built in
AFAIK it's a adblock, not even the adblock. I need /g/-approved strain of uBlock maintained by based Gorhill. Complete blocking or no blocking of scripts at all is BS. And also, where my userscripts?
I'll check it out anyway, but as of right now a switch is not viable.
>>
brave is great. i'll be using it as my default browser when some of the kinks are ironed out.
>>
>>61709507
>but as of right now a switch is not viable
True, Brave isn't done yet. It's the only nu browser with potential though.

>>
LOL, how the fuck could anyone be so stupid to use this browser ?

The whole business idea behind it is that 'Brave' goes around and shake down advertisers to pay them for letting their ads through, it's a fucking racket where the end user is watching ads the 'Brave' owners get paid for.

'Brave' is a lie, if you use this you are a 'Retard'.
