Its been that way for a year or so now. I still buy them because I'm not as familiar with Elitebooks or Latitudes. I know that comparable generations of ThinkPads are 30-50usd more than their Latitude and Elitebook alternatives.

The premium on Macs is 80-140usd, so I guess the ThinkPad premium isn't too bad.
