You could get the hidden cd key from the UEFI and license the os that way. You might need to force the os back to 10 home from pro but you can look that up online.

Or conversely you could find the activation server in the registry and try to fuck with it a bit. You might be able to get the company who owned that laptop hit with a ms fine.
