Listening to these http://www.gearbest.com/earphones/pp_216373.html is wild, it's great. Very neutral, not extremely bass heavy but it IS more on the weighty side, but compared to my Sennheiser CX 1.00s, they quite easily compare almost equal. A bit more bass on these, though.

On the other earbuds http://www.gearbest.com/earbud-headphones/pp_633907.html feel okay - they're for work, they're acceptable quality, really bass heavy of course. Can't really hear the highs that well, but the mediums come pretty strong.

The clamp wasn't from chinkland and I haven't installed it yet so I can't say anything about it

Does anyone have experience with buying phone cases from ali? I must say I'm quite smitten by this Crazy Horse Leather one for my newly purchased Xiaomi Redmeme 4x. There are a couple of points of concern for me however. First, I'm frankly unsure of how reliable they will be in choosing the correct model. As you can tell on the right there are a fair few to choose from, and as all these phones have different dimensions, and camera or fingerprint sensor locations, I would be quite annoyed to receive for example a case for a Redmeme Note 4x in place of one for a Redmeme 4x. Quite annoyed indeed! This is a valid concern as seen by those reviews of a Russian father receiving a pink shark plushy instead of a blue shark plushy. I presume the seller just has big plastic tubs.tm in front of him or her with the appropriate phone label slapped on the front, but mistakes can and do still happen.

The second area of potential vexation is the material. The reviews are a mixed bag ranging from utter rage at how chinky the material feels to fervent praise. The reviewer who stated it felt "smoother than apple sauce flowing through the babee[sic] shit pipe", springs to mind. As an animal lover (but not affiliated to organizations like PETA), I sincerely hope horses aren't actually slaughtered to make these products. Earnestly awaiting your reply fellow Chinese shopping aficionados!

He actually says that, in his opinion, there's no "hifi level" IEM at $30 that has been truly good. There's a few alarm bells in his video for me.

He says "I listened to the KZ ZS5 briefly before disassembling them"...so he basically gave them a small chance then goes sniffing at the insides for his video.

When he explains his problems with the KZ ZS5 he admits he's new to audiofaggotry and needed to ask unnamed "experts" for help on why the KZ ZS5 suck. His video becomes choppy as he explains his position so he's obviously editing around his explanation of something he doesn't fully understand or he's been told by some audiophile he knows. I get the sense he's new to this and has some axe to grind with KZ themselves if he had to go ask anonymous "experts" to find something to complain about.

His method to review was to take the KZ ZS5 and compare it to other IEMs down at his local Walmart. He seems to heavily correlate quality with price mentally which, while it can be true more expensive=better, picking up the most expensive IEM at Walmart and comparing it against KZ ZS5 seems like a good way to set himself up for snake oil bias.

He does go on a long rant about KZ being over-hyped and while I can see that - the hype cycle is in every autistic interest - it also seems like the main thrust of his video was to EXPOSE the hype and milk views by taking an opposite view however he can. If you're going to someone else to dig up reasons why you can hate a product and you're not willing to name them...

I don't know, every hype train also has people who profit from derailing that train and replacing it with something THEY recommend. Keep that in mind.

How am I a contrarian? I watched a KZ ZS5 EXPOSED!!! video from start to finish and listened to what he had to say. His evidence about the drivers was interesting but he also conceded that it might be a manufacturer fault considering his friends have wildly different opinions. If that's the case and some people have good KZ ZS5 and some have bad then it could be resolved in a few months as they fix whatever is wrong with the batches.

I'm not a "self-taught audiophile", he specifically admitted he's new to audio gear and needed a source he refuses to name to explain the problems with the KZ ZS5. So he's parroting someone else's opinion and can't name who. Why would that be? Why can't he name them? It just seems a little odd to me as he clearly doesn't understand it all fully himself. He edits his explanation of the driver placement so heavily he must be saying a few words, pausing, saying a few more, pausing.

I don't own the KZ ZS5 so no buyer's remorse here.

If you still have piston 3, give this a try. I find that I much prefer this to what they normally sound. Except maybe the huge dip at ~7-8khz, that's a personal thing and depends on your ears a lot.

I got a usb dongle that supported wireless-n for $1.92 a couple of months ago, but computers won't boot when it's plugged in and the metal piece of the USB plug keeps coming off.


Aside from that, it worked great.
