Hey /g/, I was hoping for some advice on picking a laptop. My only requirements are it has to be able to Windows, have a usb port for a mouse, be able to handle video editing, and I have to be able to do my finances on it, Very low requirements, I know, but my budget is also low. My absolute max is $500 but I'd ideally like to keep it between 300-450.
I've been looking at the thinkpad because it was the first one i saw in my price range on PC mag. I'm very stupid when it comes to laptops.

Maybe if you're editing 480p only. Anything more and you're going to get problems.

Get a $100~$150 T420, add 16gb of ram, an SSD and upgrade the processor to a quad core i7 2720QM.

You can't come here completely illiterate, expecting to crowdsource a thrifty tech purchase. That's not what this board is for, and you're too poor to redeem. You can go to a used car lot and say, "I want to go 60 mph and I want to do it for less than $5000," and that can work, but tech isn't like buying used cars -- you can't say, "I want to do x for *this* much." You need to get familiar and get some more money poorfag
