Well, I have the 2016 model, had it for about 6 months and everything has been fine so far. It just gets fairly hot when playing games since the fan is tiny and worthless. I just prop it up and don't worry about it. Got temps of about 67C playing portal 2 and compiling Linux that way.

The lack of a CE label is...interesting but keep in mind this thing is actually sold as a premium item in chinkland. Xiaomi as a brand is trying to copy Apple shamelessly and ruthlessly down to minute details and so far it's working out for them really well.

I had a choice between the previous model of Mi Air and Asus UX310UQ which had also an Nvidia, they cost nearly same. I chose the former just because of the official support all over the world. However some people at my work use Mi, never heard that they complained about the laptop quality.
