any cheap IPS can easily compare to an iMac while the more expensive ones are waay better than what apple puts in there, which mind you, these panels are just your typical consumer ones.
Cranking up the colour saturation and brightness helps a lot with catching your attention (same goes for samsung AMOLED when it was new)

The peripherals on Macs are designed for someone with autism who also can't handle having more than two buttons on any device.
