But neither of these are a real issue for iPhone owners because it’s a phone. The idea is that you do phone things with it, not things you do on your laptop or desktop. The system manages all that stuff for you so you can take it out, do the thing you want to do and put it away.

No customisation or any apps Apple doesn't like (emulators, screen recorders) without a jailbreak. Jailbreaking is impossible on the latest version and there's no way to downgrade.

Jailbroken iPhones however are great.
