What is causing this issue?
it says I've used only 1.5g out of 25g, but that I have no disk space left
httpd wont start because there's no disk space left
When I check the largest directories, root is only 1.5g
what's going on here?
centos 6.9 if it helps
it's a pretty new vps, basically only has apache and MySQL installed with one tiny db and no data in it
I can manually create text files filled with garbage totaling up to several GB (pic related)
which means my disk isn't actually full
I can then delete those files and the output of df goes back to looking like the original pic
it always says 0 space avail 100% used
and services are unable to start because they think there's no space left
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

sure have!
checked df -i, no problems
checked deleted files, no problems
removed php, MySQL, httpd
restarted
didn't fix anything
it's a fucking mystery

disk format limitation?

Have you asked your VPS provider? If it's doing that shit out of the box, that's on their end.

it's one of those ultra budget $4/year deals, can't really contact support
I reinstalled the OS from the control panel and reinstalled MySQL and such, and it seems to be ok now

are there any processes running on/with said mount?
