Behold the world's smallest computer. It is as powerful as a commedore 64 and is powered by ambient light alone. Communicates through radio waves (not wifi not bluetooth).

Are they benchmarking it by the clock speed alone or are they taking account the difference in cycles per instruction, number of registers etc etc etc into the account?
Because if its running at 1 Mhz, but its a CPU that executes a instruction per cycle, it absolutely blows the 6502 out of the water.

but can it play DOOM?

Sometimes I wonder if, given todays advancements in computer chip manufacture, it would be possible to build a computer with specs comparable to early home computers like the TRS-80 or Commodore PET (or other options before color screen started being supported so that a monochrome LCD could be used) that would run entirely off solar power like a one of those solar calculators.

You bitbang an composite NTSC signal to generate graphics, then you regret wasting your time with NTSC because the colors suck, but then you remember that PAL runs at disgusting 50hz.

Have the solar panel built into the screen like Casio does with their watches and make the computer look like one of those portable terminals from Evangelion and I'd want one.

there are doom clones for C64, so probably, yeah

Yeah there is no reason why we should be making calculators like we do today that are not full computers.
