Why don't freetards understand that most users do not, and probably never will, care about Ubuntu and all those other Linux distros?
>>61543817
I don't care about Windows users either. I'm not Linux evangelist because I know not everyone can use that system. Even "user-friendly" ones can show sharp teeth sometimes.

enjoy ur nonfree software.

>linux is not used by dumb and poor people
that's why it is good
Tbh it's going quite good if you compare it to Apple and consider how much advertising they have done.
top: winbabbies
bottom: GNU/Linux users
>>61543817
they don't care about windows or android or ios either
it's just a thing that runs their normieware

why have Linux desktop environments become so dumbed down then?
>>61544089
Pretty blatantly false

that's funny because most le os war threads on /g/ are started by freetards who don't have anything else to do in their day after making their daily post in the screenfetch thread
>>61544165
Because the people in charge want dumb people to use Linux. It's probably also to make it easier for children to pick up

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux!

because they're busy fighting about what distro is better or what GUI tooklit sucks, creating 2^100 incompatible distros/forks of libraries in the process.

>2.36%
That's an improvement.
I am well aware that they don't care. I don't particularly care about normies.
