Why are people getting so passive about microsoft forcibly uninstalling "deprecated" software from their computer with every update?
Do they not care? Do they think this is normal?
I've even seen people actually defending this shit.
95% of windows users are tech illiterate normalfags, they don't know any better
>using windows
I wanna know why the fuck they took away the "open command prompt here" option.
They aren't forcibly uninstalling anything. When software is deprecated in Windows it means that it won't come preinstalled with a fresh installation of future versions of Windows. If you followed an upgrade path from XP -> Vista -> 7 -> 8 -> 8.1 -> 10, for example, you're going to have shittons of deprecated/obsolete programs in your system directory. If you have mspaint now, you still have it and will always have it so long as you don't delete the executable.

is this for real? are you sure you're holding down shift?
>>61541959
Yes, I'm sure. They replaced it with "open powershell here", but I don't want to use powershell REEEEEEEEE

>using command prompt in 2017
>>61541959
Most references to command prompt in the shell were replaced with references to Powershell.
>>61541972
Why the fuck would you use cmd instead of powershell?
>>61541991
>>61541977
'Cause I grew up using cmd, and don't want to learn any new shit because I only use Windows anymore for Rocket League.
>>61541733
the average normal is as braindead as a sea cucamber. Their laptops are always getting gigabytes of updates by windows 10 until after a year all hard disk space is full and pc runs like shit
then the normal buys another laptop
they have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what programs they have; only the icons they recognize. they are too busy fucking and hooking up on tinder
>>61542005
you could probably just replace powershell's executable with cmd's if it bothers you that much
>>61542065
Or even just run cmd from power shell to switch to cmd.
>>61542115
Yeah, I just researched this out of curiosity.
Found a registry fix, but didn't seem to work.
Other suggested solutions are as you said, to just type cmd in powershell, but you can also type cmd and hit enter in the address bar to open command prompt in that window. Didn't know that...neat.

Rocket League has a linux version dude. Just switch.

It runs like shit on my card in Linux (HD7950). I spent a whole weekend trying different drivers and various "fixes". Even though frame rates are acceptable (although much lower than windows) and v-sync is on, the graphics are stuttery as shit. It's unplayable for ranked.
