You cannot be "part of" company, unless you are one of the founding fathers. In any other case you "work for" a company so its owners can profit. You make their dreams and goals come true, not yours.
In best case you can be "part of" codemonkey team, as that's all you will be in the eyes of the owners – a mean to reach the goal, a cheap tool that can be easily replaced.
The only reason to work for someone, is to get money, so you can make your dreams and goals come true.
Being "part of" workplace is bullshit. Even worse is saying that a company can be your "family". No, it cannot. Company should support your family and family life, not replace it, because that just makes you a slave.
