Talk me out of it. It's a refurbished latitude with 8gb of what I assume is ddr3 ram (ddr2 only supports 4gb max from what I remember) and an i5 3320m clocked at 2.6GHz.

>3320m
That's the latest meme in refurb computers. Take an old ass business computer with an ancient processor worth $75, slap $100 worth of RAM+SSD inside and sell it for $350.
battery will suck after a month

It's actually pretty nice for an old ass processor. There are far worse processors out there (ie core2duo)

ask >>>/tpg/ lad.
btw, that's a terrible deal.
You should be aiming for second hand business class laptops such as dell latitudes, thinkpads and hp elitebooks.
I have a x230 with the same processor and it's been fine for most tasks.
Unless you need are compiling, editing, rendering or producing a lot of stuff. But in that case you should have a workstation.

DDR2 has no such limit. You're either thinking of specific motherboards only supporting DIMMs up to a given size or Windows 32bit without PAE.

That is a Latitude. Maybe try reading instead of shilling?
Don't get the E54x0 series Latitudes, they're not really that good compared to the E64x0 which are more reliable and offer better expansion potential. On the surface just looking at a picture of the laptops you won't really notice much difference but internally, very different machines.
It's not a bad price (not that I understand the fucked up English monetary system, mind you) so if it's what you want get it, I still can't recommend the 5 series hardware, the 6 and 7 are where it's at nowadays even for older models.

I know, it's a latitude, but it's just too expensive for what it is
