If your current pending sector count = uncorrectable sector count, then you've probably run out of extra sectors. So the drive will get worse from here on out. However, I've used drives for years past this state with no issues. Eventually, you'll have too many bad sectors and have to pull the drive. Just don't use it for anything you care about losing.

There are still lots of unused spare sectors. It's just this is probably caused by damaged platter at the end, so I'm worried about bad sector spread.

Drive is starting to fail. It might still have use as a backup of a backup drive, or a burner drive for a side laptop, but don't keep anything you don't mind losing on it.
