I feel bad for anyone getting into agency work today.

>Some agencies have stand up meetings to discuss your feelings and have healing circles to relieve stress
>The pandering has gotten ten-fold worse since I started doing web development back in 2013
>For whatever reason a lot of companies feel like project managers and project leads have to be females who have no clue what they're doing for "diversity"
>Some companies even have a "diversity budget" now
>Your social profiles are under constant microscope and anything that might trigger a little sensitivity can be grounds for termination
>One agency I recently left actually made new arrivals attend a course on how to avoid using "micro aggression" in the work place

The problem is, agencies are hiring these special snowflakes who come straight out of Tumblr and the new wave of college. Remember when college people were fun and free-spirited but lazy? Not anymore. God forbid you crack a joke or say anything, you're using a "micro aggression" and agencies are now going out of their way to pander to this mentally ill gender identity bullshit.

If you're thinking about getting into agency work and you're not a far leftist, don't. Start your own company or freelance. Save your sanity and your soul.
