Install SVP, which automatically installs MPC-HC and MadVR and sets them both up for you.
Despite what any of the fags ITT say, minimal effort wins every time.

libav with mpv. libav unlike any other project provides everything in a 64bit version, while the garbage codec packs are just 32bit and don't even use half the hardware features that modern computers provide.
