Is there any reason to use uMatrix if I have NoScript? I mainly don't want to switch because I have 2 years of NoScript settings already established

Use both. Leave NoScript with the option to not block all scripts, then configure uMatrix to block everything by default except images, CSS and cookies.

There are some added features, but there's a huge overlap yes. Personally I switched and started over again.
