How often do you clean your keyboard /g/?
Also, what method seems to work the best?

Pic related, it's my nasty ass keyboard.

Burn that thing gross
>>
once a year, remove internals and throw in the washer with a couple of towels
>>
>>61344139
I'm guessing it's all sticky and compressed air doesn't blow it out, use q-tips to wipe out the cheese made of your greasyskin flakes, then use air duster to blow the rest away.

Just cleaned my Ducky Shine 3 TKL a couple days ago for the first time after buying it more than a year ago. It was about as nasty as yours, less hair/fur and more dust/cheetos crumbs even though I don't eat cheetos and never eat at my desk, but anyway.. what I did was vacuum most of that shit out, take an old toothbrush to it (gently), vac again

my keycap weren't too grimy so I just used paper towel, dipped in distilled water + a bit of white vinegar

don't use isopropyl or any strong cleaner.
water + tiny bit of white vinegar or dish soap should be enough for any grime
>>
>>61344139
Just buy a new one once every year.
>>
just wash your hands you literal niggers
>>
>>61344311
How's summer break treating you kid?

Well done anon
>>
>>61344139
Do you have fucking pet spider in your keyboard?
>>
>tfw keyboard probably looks like that
>won't clean it cause I don't like taking all the keys off
>>
Compressed air and lysol wipes.
>>
>>61344139
Brush to scrub out the gunk, and wet towel to wipe it.
>>
Not often enough. If I could figure out a way to do all the keycaps without having to hand dry, I'd do it more. Oh, except CM storm brackets on the long keys are obnoxious too.
>>
What's the best way to get key caps off without having to buy a tool? I would normally use a guitar pick but ended up fucking up a switch.
>>
>>61345994
A tool is the best way really... this is what I use:

create a bath of isopropyl alcohol and just let your keyboard sit in there for 30minutes-1 hour then just wait for it to dry and you should be all good

Leaf blower and microfiber sprayed with vinegar
>>
>>61344139
If your keyboard gets any shit in it it's a shit keyboard and you should buy one that costs more than 30 cents on fucking craigslist
>>
>>61344139
How long have you had this and how long has it been since the last wash?
>>
>>61347960
Bought it December 2014 so I've had about two and a half years. This is my first time cleaning it out.
>>
>>61344139
Every year or two, I dunk the keyboard in a mixture of water, alcohol, and soap for 1 day. Then I let it dry for 1 day. Usually I try to scrub out some of the gross shit as well.
>>
>>61344139
>Clean out keyboard until it's like brand new
>Put back in keyboard tray
>2 days later
>Fucking messy as shit again despite light use
Why, I don't even shed or anything all I'm doing is typing on it about 4 hours a day on and off.
>>
Anybody else gets these stains on their keys after using them for a while?

Bend a paper clip into shape like pic related (took over 5hrs to draw so ya'll niggers better appreciate it). Size you gotta work out yourself.
The proper tool is probably better though but the paper clip contraption gets the job done as well.
>>
Acetone works great
>>
Never.

I use a logitech k120, when it gets real fucking dirty, keycaps wear and shit, I just throw it away and buy another.
>>
>>61344139
