so you can hook your pc up to your 10gbit nas/local network, have a dedicated ethernet port for internet and have a free ethernet port for whatever (further lan connectivity without shitting up a router/switch, lan play makes sense), the real question is why have all of that ethernet connectivity and then put a (presumably) high bandwidth wifi card in there too

it's probably because they have a shit ton of spare lanes and need some feature creep on their higher end boards to make the increased price seem worth it

not sure about amd specifically but on intel the chipset lanes are generally allocated to all the connectivity like lan/wifi/usb/m.2/sata/audio/sometimes additional pcie slots/etc, usb 3.0 alone requires some serious bandwidth and motherboard manufacturers seem content with shoving tons of dedicated usb 3.0 ports onto their boards for the people that need some decent usb speeds but not enough bandwidth to warrant a proper usb card
