Still have the Note 4 but thinking about upgrading sometime this year.

Problem is the Note 8 probably won't have a removable battery and after needing to replace the one on my 4 after a little under 2 years, I don't like the idea of needing to wait to have the store deal with it or risk bricking it if I do it myself.
