Looking to get a android box <$100. Where do I begin learning what's good and what's not? 2gb ram minimum? Can I or should I root and install a rom on the android box like a phone or they don't work like that? Can I run both Kodi and plex for my home network?

desu i was considering getting the cheapest one around with at least a mali 820mp3 or over, connect it to my old CRT 25" TV thru RCA and use it as old console box (PSX/N64, DC at best, and older), ¿is it good or those shits are full of input lag and random bugs like most of the android chinkphones out there?
