7z is better but I still use WinRAR because I'm so used to it and 7z's context menu triggers me. Am I the only one?

That's called autism. You can just end yourself to fix it.
>>61292994
say that to my face and I will break all your bones
WinRAR is objectively better than 7z

This.
Parity/recovery record, encryption, compression and file validation in one operation and in one file if you want it or in split files. Replaces zfs, ecc ram, file checksums, veracrypt, and the need for reliable storage all at once.
I just use peazip

Too bad neither RAR nor 7z can sync split archives because that would make safe backups way easier. Every time you updaet your archive, you have to reupload the whole archive again.

True. However, you can archive folders/files that change often into their own archives to minimize the problem.
>>61291701
I use both
idk man all i do is
>unzip -e filename.zip
>>61291701
Interesting I can't use WinRAR for the same reason.

I always make an archive with a 100% recovery record. It doubles the size of the archive, but even if it gets corrupted to the point where 50% of the file is corrupted I can recover the content. I split it into 100mb pieces and store them in multiple places. That way I can asdemble pieces together from different sources, in case of partial transfers, etc.

Does anyone know of a safe cracked version of winrar?
