Have you cracked your neighbors wifi?

>using their internet to seed 24/7
>snooping around their samba workgroup
>opening ports on their router so you can keep your own network safer
>>
>>61284420
I think that's illegal in all ways possible

Hello FBI.

Isn't the internet great. It allows shitheads like yourself to say shit that would, in real life get your head cracked open.
Hopefully you'll suffer the same fate fucking cunt.
Please turn to the loaded gun in your drawer, put it in your mouth, and pull the trigger, blowing your brains out. You'll be doing the whole world a favor. Shitbag.
I would love to smash your face in until it no longer resembled anything human, faggot.
Die painfully okay? Preferably by getting crushed to death in a garbage compactor, by getting your face cut to ribbons with a pocketknife, your head cracked open with a baseball bat, your stomach sliced open and your entrails spilled out, and your eyeballs ripped out of their sockets. Fucking bitch
I would love to kick you hard in the face, breaking it. Then I'd cut your stomach open with a chainsaw, exposing your intestines. Then I'd cut your windpipe in two with a box cutter. Hopefully you'll get what's coming to you.
Fucking bitch I really hope that you get curb-stomped. It'd be hilarious to see you begging for help, and then someone stomps on the back of your head, leaving you to die in horrible, agonizing pain. Faggot
Shut the fuck up faggot, before you get your face bashed in and cut to ribbons, and your throat slit. You're dead if I ever meet you in real life, fucker. I'll fucking kill you.
I would love to fucking send your fucking useless ass to the hospital in intensive care, fighting for your worthless life.
I wish you a truly painful, bloody, gory, and agonizing death, cunt.

I did this for 4 years while i was on probation, most wpa keys were their phone number. Could never get a good signal even with a 3 ft long 2.4ghz cantenna though, seems it was always kind of shitty. Luckily the next door neighbor had a nice access point and didn't even need an antenna.

Nobody has done bruteforce attacks in a serious capacity for ages. Capturing handshakes is where it's at.
>>
>>61294405
brainlet here
is capturing packets and then brute forcing that what most people do.
I got a desktop system and thinking of getting either a AWUS036NH or something like >>61293613 to just slap into my home server to have it "cracking" stuff over night since it's on 24/7 anyways.
Could I just get any old wan card and give it a big ass antenne to soak up as much traffic as possible until it finds a handshake?
>>
but guise this is illegal
>>
>>61284493
You're probably fine, maybe not. Improve your security.
>>
>>61294382
>>61294343
well the board inside is smaller than either of those, and from what i've seen it appears to be just the new thing. it is also green, and the writing on it seems to check out.
>>
>>61294461
capturing packets then injecting them. then capturing packets then bruteforcing. thats the steps. you need certain chipsets to inject.
>>
>>61294461
Brute force doesn't really work on modern encryption (WPA/2) with a decent password. You're pretty much relying on them having a shitty default password that can still be brute forced or a shitty custom password that will show up in a dictionary (e.g. "password1234").
You can capture handshakes quickly with a de-auth attack, which forces a client to reauthenticate with the access point. If you do get a wlan card make sure it is compatible with Linux and can be used for packet injection. I have the AWUS036NHA and it can do both.
>>
>>61284506
thats about the only way you CAN do it with WPA.

I'll waste a bit of time sharing some details I read in a local Swedish "forundersökning" ("investigative report" from the Police used for prosecution, these are public after the trial).

Apparently one guy cracked a government service and gained access and changed some random data and the Swedish terrorist network SAPO, a "special" branch of the Police, where put in charge for the investigation.

They tracked down addresses belonging to two IPs used, both random people's WEP encrypted WIFIs. These addresses were very close. They monitored the area for a while and did manage to find out exactly who it was; visual surveillance played a big role. If you're looking for someone using other people's wifi's and you have a router with a big antenna on your balcony then that's probably it (there's a picture of it in the FUP).

I hope ye'all learned something. I've never seen a FUP report with anything like this, it was a high-priority case and they probably wasted a lot of resources on it. Regardless, do keep in mind that if you crack your neighbors WIFI then it's not that hard to figure out that it was probably someone living close by that did it.

You could on openwrt or any other custom firmware (I believe only tried it on Openwrt because I generally like that more) install USB drivers and the Ralonk drivers and then setup a interface on it. But it's relatively much work for a single wlan adaptor.

Id LOVE to crack my neighbors wifi, if only to have 2 connections to torrent on in the middle of the night(I wouldnt use it during the day) but after getting the ALFA wifi adapter and downloading backtrack/Kali, i saw my shitty C2D would take something like 50 years to crack it... Though most of them do have wps, so I might try that, but this wasn't so successful in the past.

Most routers are updated by the isps through tr 069. So pixiedust and reaver wps vulnerabilities are patched and wpa2 has been the standard for years now. Wifi cracking is pretty much only capturing handshake in tandem with dictionary attacks with hashcat. Tedious, barely get any results and all default passwords are no longer seeded from default bssid and have at least 12 digit hex passwords or 10 digit alphanumeric.
The only fast and easy way is by using fluxion to spoof a fake network and that's so obvious that you need a specific kind of moron to fall for it.

wash -i mon0

5ghz may have higher speed but it also has less range and penetration, you are actually doing them a favor

Holy fuck.
Hide your SSID.
Use WPA-2
PSK is 24 Character random string
Static map client devices via MAC
done.
>>
>>61304946
hiding your ssid and mac filtering won't do shit, just use wpa2 and a strong key
