Yeah it would be very psychologically unsatisfying to conclude that you're just getting screwed because of the natural way the world works, and that it's nobody's fault, sometimes that's just how things go. It'd be much nicer if you could blame it on some malicious actor, wouldn't it? Much nicer to have someone to be angry at, a scapegoat.
