I have a Ti Book G4 and the best you will get is Debian PPC with cinnamon

It is so comfy but expect the pata HDD to eat shit sooner than later - the machine is somewhat bearable with modern flash storage adapter..

it runs SNES9X 1.43 iirc, which has a very high compatibility rate.
Turn off all bootup services and apps, install bootXchanger and set SNES9X to launch on startup. Use it as a designated SNES emulator.
