No I got fired two weeks ago because three building engineers didn't know the pipping architecture and lied to me about it so 3 levels on a high rise building on market sreeer got flooded and it was 3 building engineers vs my word. Plus the engineers played a game and said they wouldn't ban the company I worked for if they let me go.

But now I'm going to work in Sunnyvale at a tech company doing facility maintenance including HVAC/ Refrigeration/ chillers/ some electrical and carpentry. Plus $6 more an hour.

Webdev is the construction worker job of all CS careers. The technology around it is the most refined, uninventive, sack(s) of garbage. The workers are the ones that graduated with a CS degree looking for a rat race to sign onto and don't care about much beyond getting their paycheck and going home to do their same routine until they die.

You want to do your own thing? You will need to build a financial runway. You are going to have to put in hours of work on your own clock. It will have to be focused on moving a single product to the finish line. It will need to be practical financially. You will need to understand your audience, that market, what you are competing with, if your competition is making money that you can survive on. You are going to have to cut features that you can't afford the time to make. Nobody will tell you where the start line is or where the finish line is because everybody you know is a goddamn tool that does the same boring shit you are doing now (and they are OK with it).

I applied for backend work on a rest api as my first job, in a team of 3 guys.

Now that there are barely any features they want me to learn android cause we don't have a developer and we gonna copy most of the ios shit.

I refused and they said there is nothing else except an ocassional bug to work on every week, I don't know android and I don't want to work on design I only draw cubes and have the creativity of a monotonous bitter autistic virgin. I gave up and agreed for a small raise, i sold my body like a whore.
