Even if you reveal nothing about yourself, the goal is to be invisible, which means that something like using Tor or a random useragent on every website would be a dead giveaway.

Again, not having anything you HAVE to hide is the much better option. Otherwise, your best bet is to simply make it take too much effort for somebody to track you.

The internet is just a whole bunch of computers that share files. Every place on the internet is hosted on a web facing computer (server) somewhere. So there is no invisibility unless you just don't connect. The extensions I'm recommending will help prevent websites from tracking you. In the browser settings you should set it to never keep history. Websites will have no cookies or history to use to determine who you are. You should also block non-free scripts but that'll break half the web pages you visit. Also get a paid VPN so that you can hide from your ISP. Most VPN providers charge $5-10 a month.

Habitually using a VPN will just make you a target, and VPNs themselves are targets which can expose a lot of information with little to no coercion needed. On top of that if you're using a VPN in basically any first world country you're under higher risk due to the Nine Eyes pact and if you're using one outside of that you're more suspect anyways.
