Is a CS degree worth it?
I failed to enter a decent university and am finding for other ways.
Depends on what you take from the education.

It really depends on what your goals are. Do you ever plan on going into related research fields or doing any real computational science? If so, then yes you need to go to school and get a degree in CS, likely a masters or PhD. If all you want is an entry-level job, then you're probably better off just going to a trade school and completing a boot camp in Java/JavaScript like some pajeet from India.
And for what it's worth, you don't need to go to some prestigious university for your CS degree, as long as your school is ranked average nationwide, that's good enough for an undergrad degree unless you are trying to get hired into a top-paying starting salary by Google or Microsoft for your first job. It's honestly not worth the student debt if you ask me, since you can work your way up within any company and move into a higher paying salary over time without having to pay off massive loans for the next 20 years.
