Air Purifiers are technology
Do you have one to keep your NEET cave fresh?
Rowenta vs Philips, what's better?
i just open a window
>>61185419
>risking a bee or moth attack
Fuck that.
>>61185448
install a screen even european windows have screen kits you can buy from obi if youre german
>breathing air that was previously exhaled by Normies unfiltered
ugh
LG is better
>>61185354
>>61185563
Daikin, you filthy.
>>61185536
you were born from atoms recycled from normies who lived before you
>>61185448
europoors can't afford screens
>>61185598
european houses are completely solid masonry suspended slab floors between all levels huge timber raftors supporting real clay fucking tiles triple pane wood framed windows its the burgers who cant afford to build real houses
>>61185536
>not wearing HAZMAT suit 24/7
ugh
No I'm not a asthmatic joo
>>61185448
>he doesn't want more bees
Do air purifiers succ out all the dust in the air? If so, I should really get one. Saves having to dust my room every few days
>>61185674
or you could just vacuum regularly get a canister vacuum
>>61185674
Yeah, the Rowenta PU6020 in the OP has 3 filters:
* dust filter (washable)
* charcoal filter (fine dust)
* HEPA filter (micro particles and odors)
This is a standard configuration. I'm currently undecided between Philips and Rowenta.
>>61185674
>Do air purifiers succ out all the dust in the air
No, unless your room is a cupboard/you have one for each and every room in your house
>>61185768
Proper air purifiers churn over 300 cubic meters of air per hour.
That's 300000 liters of air per hour.
Of course they catch a lot of dust.
>>61185354
ROWENTA !
I just recently got an Air conditioner placed in my sleeping room, has airco and dehumidifier functions as well as a regular fan option.
Battlestation room has air intake with a filter to cut out any fine dust particles + a direct fan for a nice cool constant breeze.
how much these be ?
I'm looking for one for this coming iwnter season.
Also how do they function as far as humidity goes
>>61185622
What are earthquakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes?
There is more to it than you realize. Ignorance is no excuse.
>>61185859
Decent ones > 250$
>>61185448
Where the fuck do you live that there are no screens on your Windows?
Are your houses just full of bugs and shit flying around? Do you have houses?
>>61186686
Screens on windows aren't common in the UK, mainly because it's too cold for many flying insects for most of the year. It's just a few months in summer when there are bees, moths, May bugs and whatever. We deal with it by keeping a stiff upper lip, leaving the windows closed and frying in the blistering 25°C heat with dignity.
Here's my prefilter. The HEPA looks good still. Carbon filter is new. I'm going to change this soon.
How gud is Ionic Sheer?
>>61186797
you know you can just add screens while it´s warm out and remove them when it gets cold?
>>61186822
>>61185354
I have a Winix 5500. Are those brands any better? Winix has cheap 3rd party HEPA/carbon filter. You can add a cheap foam as a prefilter to catch bigger particles which helps your HEPA last longer.
I want one but there is literally nothing with HEPA in Europe.
>>61185867
Europe doesnt really have that
>tfw didnt build in wasteland unlike burgers
>>61186902
That sounds like a lot of effort, man.
>>61186797
I live in northern Canada where I'm sure it gets much colder. We have screens.
>>61186921
Google for Sharp Plasmacluster.
>>61186921
Philips
Rowenta
both sell HEPA air purifiers
Anyone have the /diy/ filter pic?
>There greatest accomplishment as a board.
>>61185354
Daikin or Fujitsu, other shit are memes
>>61186921
HEPA air purifiers in Europe:
https://geizhals.eu/?cat=hluft&sort=p&xf=1342_Luftreiniger%7E7965_Hepa-Filter
Am i right assuming that the air purifier is probably worth it as long as it has HEPA filter? Will relatively small one work for a small room?
>>61187690
Manufacturers usually give a recommended room size for their purifiers
For 100€ gets you a filter for about 20-30 m^2
It definitely should have HEPA even though charcoal alone helps a lot already
Cannabis growers use large industrial charcoal filters and it eliminates the smell completely
That's a cheap DIY option btw, just visit your local grow shop
Industrial carbon filters as used by weed growers are usually connected to an axial type fan
Initial cost is a bit higher but they last for years
and replacement filters are relatively cheap
What is the cheapest decent one i can buy in europoor?
>>61187935
same! I want HEPA though
>>61187954
Me too! Im only interested because of the HEPA meme.
>>61187935
not an expert but those seem decent:
Rowenta PU4010
DeLonghi AC 100
around 140-190 EUR
There's also the Xiaomi Air Purifier 2 from China for around 120 EUR that gets decent reviews. The Xiaomi is WiFi controlled with an ultra-botnet Android app though
>>61188014
Thanks man.
>>61188049
I'm currently just researching myself.
Discarded Philips because of high price and Amazon reviews complaining about quality issues (loud fans etc)
The two Rowenta devices seem to be more consistent in quality.

>>61188014
Do they got HEPA
>>61188196
Yes
>>61185583
Dinosaurs arent normies
>>61185448
>moth attack
I've got a small hand-me-down Holmes that I got from my mom. I don't need it like she does (asthma), but I've gotten spoiled by my childhood in an allergen-free home.
get a house plant and water it you fucking monkeys
>>61187597
This shit has wifi now. Now i just want to upgrade.
Yes, I have one - GermGuardian
>>61187000
No screens in Vancouver area.
>>61188571
I've got 3 of them right now. I only focus on those that clean air real hard. Will probably get 4 more. They don't help with dust though.
>>61185448
>afraid of insects
I have an old ass Honeywell hepa and I think one last filter. What plant should I get?
Any that don't look ugly as sin with reusable filters?
>>61188615
Of course they pick the worst possible fan type
>>61192518
Google "nasa air cleaning plants". There is an article on Wikipedia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASA_Clean_Air_Study
Indoor plants that filter certain toxins like formaldehyde (often contained in cheap furniture)
>>61192527
Philips look decent imho but they're expensive
>>61185674
I've looked before because I was interested in reducing dust. Turns out they're literally meme machines that 1.) Only remove a marginal amount of dust and 2.) Don't actually have any evidence of improving air quality or providing any benefit to humans what-so-ever.
So unfortunately, no, there's not really a reliable method for the home to reduce dust.
>>61187265
This is what I have, it works great!
How do you know when to replace the dust filter?
>>61185622
And they still don't have window screens.
>>61187000
Screens look really naff. Only poor people use them
>>61193490
Poor people don't, they just open their windows, where as the rich always use AC and never open their windows. Middle class are the only ones that use screens.
>>61185354
Do these things actually work? I never used one but I'm skeptical. Why buy some purifier device instead of opening a window?
I use my pc case for air filtering. Works pretty damn good.
>>61193699
>Do these things actually work?
No, it's all a scam. See >>61192835
They literally do nothing at all. The clogged dust filters that you have to clean weekly are just an optical illusion purported by the Jews
>>61193699
They don't. It's almost comical how many suckers there are on /g/, but it makes total sense. These are people that fell for the linux meme
>>61193431
But we have, we even have some for our Terrace doors
Winix
>>61185354
I use Filtrete MPR 2800.
If any of you had a Consumer Reports subscription you would know that the Blueair Blue Pure 211 air purifier is the best air purifier in existence right now.
