yea I tried that. the thing is, the white thingy comes out like the ribbon. The blue thingy is the grip to take the ribbon out.

Idk what your're doing. It seems you're trying to slam the ribbon cable in which is not what you do. The ribbon cable should go in with little to no force on a connector like that. Then you close the connector. I'm repeating myself...

What the fuck are you even talking about? The white piece on the connector flips up for removing/inserting the cable. The blue plastic tab on the cable is to assist inserting it.

>insert cable, keeping forward pressure on the blue tab
