Can someone clear up a few assumptions and questions I have about audio?
I want a pair of good wireless headphones, from what I understand, a pair of 7.1 surround headphones with multiple analog cables going to a transmitter would be best solution, correct?
Seeing as how that doesn't seem to be a product and would only be for the most hardcore audiophiles, a more simple pair of analog stereo would still do a pretty decent job?
I am looking at getting the SteelSeries Siberia 800.
I have a decent sound card, this mean I pretty much want to stick with the analog signal as using usb or optical pretty much means bypassing the sound card correct?
If I come across a game that supports Dolby surround, would it be worth giving up the analog for optical in that case?

Probably the best wat to get good wireless headphones is to run some great ones through a wireless DAC. Decent analog stereos will be more than enough for games, 7.1 is generally unnecessary and is less valuable than a good sound card. Also get good headphones, gamer gear is normally prety bad when it comes to headphones.

Briefly:
Surround sound headphones are a gimmick, and produce inferior audio.
Wireless is objectively inferior.
Gaming headphones are almost always overpriced garbage.
