Is there a catch-all term for the major programming "action commands"? I'm sure that's wrong.
For example, in python: print, return, goto, def, if, for, while, etc.
I get that some are loops and some are statements, but are there any other major types of those commands? To really dumb it down, Im talking about most of the input the IDE turns a special color (other than functions/expressions/strings).
theyre called keywords
The things you listed are keywords because they are reserved by the language. But I think what you're looking for is the phrase "control structure".
"if/else", "for", and "while" are control structures.
