I though about making a random wallpaper generator like pic related but then I realized there are tens of apps like that online and very few people would be interested in mine. My background:
> C
> OpenGL ES 2.0
> GLFW, EGL
> libsoundio
> some Python, Lua
It's thin but I can learn new stuff on demand. What can I make/contribute to, so that it would actually affect the world and fill up my CV?
I am perfectly capable of rolling dozens of 1000 line projectlets that nobody will use, but I don't think that would help me in any way. I could show you some shit like dumb snake AI, a shadow caster and the 8 puzzle solver, but nobody really cares anyway.

Make it really polished and with a lot of features
Ask people what kind of features they would like to see

Okay, I'm on it.
What do you think about my Makefile? Will it scale well?CC=gcc
CFLAGS=-std=c99 -Wall -Wextra -Wpedantic -O2
LFLAGS=-lEGL -lGLESv2
SRC=src/bgen.c
DST=bgen
INSTALL_DIR=/usr/bin/
all:
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) $(SRC) $(LFLAGS) -o $(DST)
debug:
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -g $(SRC) $(LFLAGS) -o $(DST)
clean:
rm $(DST)
install:
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) $(SRC) $(LFLAGS) -o ${INSTALL_DIR}${DST}
uninstall:
rm ${INSTALL_DIR}${DST}
