RIPtel AHAHAHAHA

>shit is broken on Linux
Wow, I really really didn't expect that
>>61080195
it's because everything is "gotta go fast! time-to-market! move fast and break things! disrupt! rapid release! fast, fast, fast!" As soon as something pretty-much seems to work, it's out the door and they're on to the next thing. If it's broken, well, fuck you, get the next version.
People used to complain about microsoft making users into beta-testers. Then everyone else making software and hardware thought "Well, maybe they hate it, but what're they gonna do, not buy stuff? It'd save lots of time and money to ditch this testing bullshit! We should start doing this too!"

>Please note that the defect can potentially affect any operating system
(it is not restricted to Debian, and it is not restricted to Linux-based
systems). It can be either avoided (by disabling hyper-threading), or
fixed (by updating the processor microcode).
