Be careful, most of them are just a bunch of resistors with a random IC (usually a broken SoC or flash memory) that's shorted out to heat up when plugged in and rest is just a USB controller reporting a device ID.
The software does mine but it uses your CPU/GPU and checks if it's plugged in, it even handicaps, so if you use more it will lesser the handicap so it will look like it's actually doing better with more of them plugged in.
