Is this NCURSES guide any good? http://tldp.org/HOWTO/NCURS

I read it some years ago and I didn't like it so much.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find something better.
Does anyone know a good book about it?

I like ncurses so much but I think that now it must have a OO implementation like gtkmm.
