>AMD and Asus announced their first laptop with desktop grade Ryzen 7
My current laptop has served me well for almost a decade, the issues it has now I can only attribute to hardware degradation, it'll be a waste of time and money to get it fixed at this point.
I'm looking for a laptop with a full size CPU, the Clevo P750DM2 seems like the best choice for now, but I'm stuck with Intel.
Ryzen is objectively better for my use, I'm not much of a gaymer, and the lower power usage and better thermals make it an infinitely better CPU for a laptop over the i7 7700k.
My question here is, will I be falling into a value trap by waiting for a good Ryzen laptop? I definetly won't be buying the Asus, I've had bad experiences with their quality and customer support. How long will it take for Sager/Clevo to come out with a Ryzen?
I'm a programmer who works under contract, a better system will let me take on more projects and earn better in the process, will it genuinely be worth waiting?

can't you change the backlight to simple white?
>>61070457
Yeah, it's configurable to white.
No, I definitely want to show up to work with a fucking disco keyboard, what a great idea Clevo!

Can you set it to strobe? That seems more conducive to a healthy work environment :^)
