I've just installed OpenWrt. What a piece of fucking shit!
Why do people shill that crap?
>>61058520
What a detailed and thorough argument against OpenWRT. Surely I will also stop using it now!
>>61058520
You got memed/
>using openwrt when LEDE is newer and better
I use it on my WDR4300 to block ads on the router level
>>61058622
Isn't that the successor project because openwrt pivoted to being a more general embedded project?
>>61058661
yes, exactly. with newer kernel and bugfixes. there's also gargoyle, but I found that to be slower (because I enabled extroot on an usb stick when I used it and it took 25mbps off with adblock enabled)
Gonna try it again some day tho
I just use mikrotik stuff now. No more looking around for compatible hardware.
werks 4 me
>>61058661
>complains openwrt is more of a general embedded distro
>names their own project Linux Embedded Development Environment
>>61058622
You can do the same with OpenWRT, so I dunno why you are shilling it like it is a unique feature.
>>61058891
Who complained?
>>61058934
You've got pretty good reading comprehension. For a primary school student.

OpenWRT is outdated and all the devs have migrated to LEDE. Last OpenWRT release was 2 years ago, dumbo
LEDE just pushed out 17.01.02 a few days back
>The LEDE Project (“Linux Embedded Development Environment”) is a Linux operating system based on OpenWrt. It is a complete replacement for the vendor-supplied firmware of a wide range of wireless routers and non-network devices. See the Table of Hardware for supported devices. For more information about LEDE Project organization, see the About LEDE pages.
