I registered a domain on dreamhost about 3 years back, just to dick around and shit. I let the registration expire (or so I thought) because I didn't want it anymore and I thought that was the end of it. Didn't have hosting or anything, just domain. Just now tried to register a random domain with that same email address (I dunno why) and it says I owe $200~. Is this legit? I haven't gotten any notices through legit channels and if they have my email, I'm sure I would've gotten that. Are they trying to gyp me or what?

Yeh true. I guess I'll just figure this out when I'm sober and not trying to register a domain to email (most likely) unmonitored late 00's french house DJ email adresses. I miss the days when the internet didn't matter desu though.
