Why 1080p. Why 8 gigs. You could get a decent laptop thats 1280x900 or smth with 4 gigs of ram and play that pile of shite of a game on max settings. Or get the 15,6"+ with 4 gigs and 1080p and play on less than ultra. I don't see the problem.

Sorry yeah, I'm guessing you're base in the UK, because the first link gave prices in pounds. So I checked a few sites and the main problem is the 1080p requirement + screen size. You need to pick one, else it wont ever cost under 400.

I've found some powerful 2-4yr old Dell Inspiron SE's for like £200. They have i7-3630QM CPUs and GT 650M GPUs.

I personally would do it, but I don't want the responsibility if it doesn't work, or if the HDD/battery is worn and she needs it replaced

W520 if the game is intense, X220 if it isn't. You should be able to find either for pretty cheap on eBay. The W520 is 1080p.

My 2012 MBA with a 1.9ghz dual core i5 and 4gb of ram ran that game at 60fps high settings at 900p
