Well I usually upgrade my phones every 2 years. I started ever since my galaxy S3, then had S5, now I got S7.
I don't see the point of upgrading every year unless there is a big improvement in the phone but usually there isn't.

I'll probably won't get the S9 next year unless it's a big game changer or if Apple becomes open source, which is unlikely.
