Nope, I bought the Oneplus 3 so I won't need to upgrade any time soon. I've tried the S8+ and think it's pretty shitty. The Microphone constantly has problems when talking over the speaker, and the front camera has focusing issues all the time. Good specs but the bloatware manages to make it lag hard anyway.

About the buttons. I too didn't like the on-screen buttons. I had many phones with that and I hated all the wasted space.
BUT with the S8's long display it does not bother me at all. It's quite comfy actually. And the 3D-touch esque home button fixed the problem of having to pull the drawer out every second.

I'm also still using a OP1, but I have a few issues that I've just kind of dealt with for a while.
- There was a shitty CM update a while back that broke Bluetooth and Miracast functionality. It got better in subsequent patches, but I still have issues. Bluetooth randomly disconnects and Miracast is almost unusable.
- The mic volume is very low. I have to yell into it to get people to hear me sometimes.
- The camera really needs burst mode or OIS or something. Whenever I want to take one picture, I have to take 5-10 and save the least blurry one, then delete all the others.
- GPS occasionally takes a long time to update.
- I sometimes get weird glitches that move parts of the UI off of the screen.

For me there are still some reasons why I would consider OP5 over other similarly priced phones. Mainly physical factors:

-fingerprint sensor in the front
-capacitive buttons
-notification slider

Probably going to go back to Apple. The OnePlus 5 doesn't seem too interesting, my battery on the OnePlus 3 is slowly degrading and the Galaxy S8 seems like the only viable phone but is weaker than the OnePlus 5 and I can only assume worse camera.
