I really don't know much about the inner workings of watches but there's something that's aesthetically pleasing even with moat movements.

This is the same pocket watch I posted in the previous thread and I've posted enough of these now. I find it cool how they are close to 100 years old, if not older.

Hey /wt/, I was washing my hands earlier today and the tap didn't have an aerator on it, so as a result water sprayed out all over the place and I got a few drops on my vintage 6309 diver. I don't think any of it penetrated the seal, but I'm still a bit worried. What is the best way to check for leakage inside the case once it is opened?

I wear a diver daily. I work construction and my watch gets wet and beat up.

Divers have become "beater" watches for people who need a watch that can take abuse and be dunked in water if needed

office type watches cant take the abuse I throw at them, so I buy a diver. There should be another category of rugged affordable mechanicals but there basically is not.
