It's the latest release of the de fecto standard PC OS, of course I will shill for it. Do I recommend using it (or any version of Windows) for all every day computing? No! Do I recommend having an installation as dual boot or VM or dedicating a machine to it? Yes!

If you need/want any Windows software, especially for obscure hobbies, gaymen or productivity stuff, there's no shame in using it for that. And go for the lastest version to ensure compatibility. Afterall the Windows audio, graphics and driver systems are pretty top notch compared to Linux, only OSX can compete.
