I'm running a Droid turbo it's almost 4 years old. Recently got an update up to Android 6.0 so far no issues.

I use mine as a server. There are apps dedicated to server use or you can install a Linux chroot.

Not use them because they're broken so much I didn't care to fix them and decided it's time for a new one.

Do you have a direct, free (as in free beer or freedom) link to am app that can take APKs from Play Store? I know titanium backup was once able to do that with 2.3, but those days are long gone afaik and also it's expensive, dev must be a millionaire already.

Because if you don't, why not just dl on a regular PC and send the APKs to your mobile using bluetooth?

I just use apk export and share the apps with myself in telegram. Works fine so far. Downloading on pc was not possible for me last tume i checked. Also i dont want to download banking apps which are only available on playstore from a 3rd party. And it has the conveinience that i just store it in my telegram history and install when i want
