Has anyone replaced their mouse with one of these? Is the experience identical to the force touch trackpads on MacBooks?
I've come to prefer my trackpad to an actual mouse because of gestures and am thinking of getting one of these my desktop.
I have one, and it is better because you can position it anywhere, it is larger, you can control its tilt by raising it if need be, use it wired or wireless, and it is pure sex paired with better touch tool.

I've been using one on OS X for years. I just recently bought a new one so I'd have full gesture support which I use frequently now.
It took some getting used to to not press too hard and initiate the force feedback feature. At first I even turned it off but turned it back on since it's sometimes useful. I still make mistakes every now and then. It could probably be deigned better.

Welcome to the club.
Buy a fucking trackball instead. Works basically like a touchpad with better ergonomic and without the feeling of dragging fingers on plastic/glass.

i use one in conjunction with my mouse. It's perfect in macOS with all the scrolling gestures. It makes great for lazy lay-back web browsing. It sucks in every other situation though, which is why I still have a mouse too.
