Friendly reminder to use EditorConfig in your projects.

Just put a .editorconfig in the root of your source files and never again deal with issues regarding line endings, tab types, or character encodings, regardless of your teammates' OS, IDEs or even text editors of choice. Everything is automatically formatted to your .editorconfig specifications while typing, no special commands they can forget to run or anything.
Strange how little known this thing is, yet it's used in even big projects like nasa's apollo 11 code, ms' vs code, and all spring projects, to name just 3. Check the repo of any random professional project you can think of and see for yourself, 50% chance they have a .editoconfig file. More people need to know and use it.

I actually suggested it to my team at work, on a fresh project, with people on mixed OSes and IDE. They know full well what a mess you get if you dont take care of uniforming your tab types and such, we've had the issues before and they want a solution (exporting and importing intellij settings is not a popular solution), yet when I told them about this they acted like I'd brought up some no-name niche useless junk.
The level of ignorance and disinterest in some programmers these days is sickening. Fucking office drones...
