Last ditch effort here.
Is there anyway to completely restore,or at least boot into, an OS after you have cleared the HDD and installed another OS over it?
OR, does anyone know how to decrypt ESF files? The only thing I kept is the entire user+appdata folder.
Give it back, Lamar.

No, after you overwrite something it's gone forever. Data can only be retrieved if you haven't written anything over it.

Right, but I've only written 20gb out of ~120gb, so I don't know much has actually been overwritten.
Is there anyway to import/ make real certificates out of these?
Someone must know about certificates here.

Okay then you should just be able to download some program that retrieves deleted data like recuva or something and get whatever important shit you need. What are trying to do exactly?

I encrypted my files using the windows encryption, ESF.
So I need to somehow unencrypt the files because apparently I don't have the certificate anywhere. So if I could get the old OS back, I could either decrypt my files or download the certificate.
